On 17 May 2026, in Muizenberg, anti-apartheid activists of yesteryear reminded beach-goers that genocide, war and intended war by the USA-Israel axis in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela and beyond is sowing destruction, inequality, poverty and hatred - and that we must become a force to counters this.

For the past 18 months, every Friday afternoon a local community demo takes place where Boyes Drive connects with Main Road, near Kalk Bay Harbour. The protesting community has grown and the 'hoots of support' from the cars homeward bound has increased hugely. August 2025.
