Heidi Eidler-Kleinschmidt (1950 - 2016) - scattering her ashes in the Namib - November 2017

Roses on a dial of pebbles, at the edge of the Namib, down to the moonscape into the Swakop riverbed. The memory of Heidi the mother and sister. How she wanted to be remembered. Marc and Tamara are Heidi's children

Road trip from Cape Town to Namibia, 20 Nov - 4 Dec 2017.
The purpose was to scatter the ashes of my sister Heidi in the Namib desert, near Swakopmund, as she wanted. We chose the same place, at the edge of the Swakop river moonscape, where we scattered my mother's ashes 21 months earlier. Heidi's children accompanied me on the way up. It was a super trip. My cousin Charles Otto and wife Manda Uirab accompanied me on the way back - another memorable trip. Below photos explain the rest.
